The neat - and most certainly detailed! - arm-badge retains both its original prongs and also retains its period, metal-based 'back-plate' in place as is more often encountered: it was never cleaned and truly retains most (ie. all!) of its somewhat tarnished, golden-bronze-toned surface (as can be seen on the pictures). As stated above, was this nicely pronounced (and magnetic!) arm-badge presumably issued but simply never worn: it was period-mounted onto a (field-grey-coloured) piece of wool. The piece once had a carton-based, additional backing attached ( but this is regrettably missing (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive example of a WH (Heeres- ie. Waffen-SS) so-called: 'Kraftfahrbewährungs-Abzeichen in Bronze'!
