Attractive - and neatly privately-produced! - example of an unusually metal-based: DLV (ie. 'Deutscher Luftsportsverband'-) related so-called: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' (being a detailed- and truly worn example)

This is an attractive - and possibly unique! - example of a so-called: DLV (ie. 'Deutscher Luftsportsverband'-) related so-called: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' being a detailed- and with certainty privately-produced- and metal (ie. aluminium-based) example that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used and/or worn- and I deem carefully tunic-removed), condition. The attractive badge shows three bright-silver-coloured 'Schwingen' and is thus an example of the so-called: 'C-Klasse' (ie. being a: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' or: glider-pilots badge of the C-class). These smaller-sized badges were worn by members of the DLV but were also worn by 'regular' LW-staff on the standard LW tunics such as the 'Fliegerbluse' and/or other tunics. The badge originates from a German private-household and is just a tiny bit dirty and shows some age and/or wear. The detailed piece - which has an approximate diameter of only 3,8 cms. - came mounted onto a piece of bluish-toned 'Luftwaffe'-type wool: it is just a bit tarnished and somewhat darkened by age. Simply an attractive - and possibly unique! - example of a privately-produced, 'DLV'-related so-called: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' that is executed in aluminium-based metal!
