This is a truly attractive example of a WH (Heeres) related, so-called: 'Verdienstauszeichnung für Angehörige der Ostvölker, 2. Klasse in Gold ohne Schwerter' (or: golden-class 'Ostvölker'-service-medal for shown merit on the Eastern Front without swords) being a nicely maker- (ie. '100'-) marked- and/or: typical golden-toned, 'Feinzink'-based example that comes mounted onto its period-attached ribbon ('Bandabschnitt') and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem only minimally used- ie. worn- and/or somewhat faded-), condition. The exampe on offer here is of the golden- (ie. second) class without swords and shows a clear makers-designation: '100' stamped into its ring: it is thus an example that was produced by the: 'Wächtler u. Lange'-company as was based in the town of Mittwaida (as is more often the case). The medal truly retains most of its golden-toned finish and still retains great pronounced detail (it is just a tiny bit tarnished- ie. dirty as to be expected but was never cleaned nor polished as can be seen on the pictures). The typical (green-coloured- and red-striped) ribbon is still sewn together and comes with its (copper-toned) 'clip' attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive 'Ostvölker'-related medal that will be hard to be upgraded and that is I deem accordingly priced!
