The neat - and truly unusually found! - later-war-period (ie. so-called: 'M44'-pattern, typically 'simplified' and very unusually neatly 'cyphered'!) - WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type WH (Heeres) 'Artillerie'-related shoulderstrap as piped in the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended (and with certainty used by!) a: 'Soldat des Artillerie-Regiments 27' (or simple soldier who served within the artillery-regiment, numbered: 27) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- and/or carefully 'cut-off a tunic'-), condition. The strap measures approximately 12,1 cms. in length and has the neat bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured- (and/or typical rayon-type) piping attached (as is more often encountered with these later-war-period straps). The strap is constructed following the typical '1944 cloth-minimising production-manner' using different shades of wool and/or material. It was clearly 'cut-off a tunic' and misses its tongue. Of interest is naturally the fact that this strap shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') '7'- and '2'-cyphers (or: 'Ziffern') attached which are executed in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured wool ie. linnen, something that is REALLY unusually found on M44-pattern straps! It should be noted that all 'M44'-style, EM-type straps are actually quite hard to encounter and can easily be graded 'scarce' even more so when they are neatly 'cyphered' as is this specimen. I deem that I have priced this attractive and very unusually seen strap, accordingly!
